I know nothing about this, why the wheels have a built in turbine but dayum.

to help keep the stoppy bois cool

They help force air through the brakes to cool them.

That's taking turbofan wheels to an awkward extreme.

Follow- up, do these suck air into the wheel or out from the wheel well?

Dayu m... that tire fitment. Where does the suspension travel?

Out. They were all the rage in the 80's , every race car had them. Advances in brake cooling and airflow management made them obsolete.

Not 100% sure but this Petrolicious article makes it sound like they suck air out.

Cooling!
I watch way too many of these vids, but Kenny from the Block actually has a nice explainer of his in this one.

Im thinking the shock is just a solid welded rod and the spring is for cosmetics. Style comfort?

Looks like they’re still at it: http://www.messer-felgen.de/portfolio-item/messer-me03-3/
Sort of. And at $1800 a pop... Damn.

935 don’t need no suspension travel.

If an actual racecar (or imitation), it may only have an inch of vertical suspension travel. If that. It’s part of why they pop so far into the air when they hit curbs, cause they’re well into the bump stops. It helps to prevent excessive body roll, which is good for weight transfer purposes, and also reduces weight by removing largely unnecessary suspension, and improves aerodynamics by allowing youbtonckose uongaos between tires and bodywork, as done so neatly here .

I don’t recall where I read it, but if I remember correctly, these were debunked and subsequently discarded by most every race team. The cooling effects were minimal, if not non-existent, in most cases.

935?

They weren't debunked, just replaced by better ways of cooling the brakes.

Maybe? Can't find the exact one but I kinda dig the apple livery.

Well if it was a 935 K3 (last I saw $3-5 million)
